*Sigh* I get really annoyed when I’m working on a super theory based module in my study and it takes me ages to get through it because I’m so unmotivated. I know we have to learn theory things too, so I do see the value, it’s just a lot less exciting to get stuck into.
At the moment I’m working on an assignment around analysing consumer behaviour for specific markets (agh) and we’ve had to work with marketing plans for a business we know/work in/can research or one from Mplans… I decided to go with the Mplans option and am working with the Orti’s Organic Bakery Marketing Plan.
Putting together the assignment is a little on the mind-numbing side, buuuut to make it a little more interesting I decided to do up a logo for the business. It’s not something we have to do, but because this is a graphic design course, we’re expected to present our assignments professionally as we would present things in the industry, so I thought having an actual logo as part of the assignment might be nice… it also gives me a little distraction! haha 🙂
There was a description of the logo online, but no actual picture, so this is what I sketched up…
And this is what it looks like finished off in Ai…
I kind of wish this was part of the assignment because I’m super psyched that it turned out how I wanted it to! Also I’m pretty psyched that it didn’t take me all week to do – I must be getting better lol
I did have a mini freakout towards the end of putting it together though because Ai threw up an error message saying I’d run out of memory, turned it into a black and white outline and wouldn’t let me do anything, but I did a bit of a Google search and found this is a known error at the moment, so it’s not just me. I didn’t do the work-around like the forum said, mainly because I’m not that super tech-savvy, but I shut everything down and restarted my computer, and all was well… Fingers-crossed Adobe sort this out soon though, it’d be a pain having to do this all the time.
Anyway, I should stop avoiding the rest of the assignment and get to it!
